We have lift capacity for 4 carry-ons, 4 checked bags, 4 laptop bags or purses as well as as many car seats as there are tiny adults. In total, we have enough cargo capacity to bring along another human or two. Alas, once we factor in the bag dedicated to my camera gear and another devoted to backup cameras, chargers, converters and ipod/ipad paraphernalia, there’s barely enough room for a large man.
Then, of course, there’s the accoutrements specific to members of the gentler half of the species whom, it could be said, tend to travel with a different class of technological tools, the purpose of which remains somewhat obscure to this writer. Yet, for the purpose of this trip, we must calculate the required wattage of things like curling irons (unlike golf irons, curling irons have nothing to do with the sport of curling) to ensure that we have the right adapters to convert 115vAC/60Hz current to 50Hz/240vAC current on the other side of the pond.
There should be enough room for clothing, but only if we can stop halfway and find a laundromat. They have laundromats in Ireland, right?
