It was nice getting out of the office when the sun was still out…but that novelty is fading fast after the time switch. Oh well…time to get back onto my vitamin D supplements. Back to being home for supper, back to putting the kids to bed, back to being a single dad on Saturdays when the MBA mom goes to school, back to the pandemonium around exam time…back to normal.
At least I’m ready for winter…sort of. Built a wind break on the weekend to prevent the 6 feet snowdrifts on the driveway, put away the tractor, pulled out the snowblower and plow, got the shovels, salt ready, pulled out the winter wear, put away summer gear… About as ready as I can get. I’m guessing that because I’m finally (and perhaps for the first time since I moved to the country) ready, this year will be the mildest winter on record. Global warming? I’m sooo ready for it…
