This photo summarizes our trip&#8230;Montreal, New York Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Beijing, New York, Montreal&#8230;.Chelsea. In 8 days. Fortunately, the switch to DST occurs the morning of our departure so, technically, it&#8217;s not 7 days and 23 hours&#8230;we need every minute in the day&#8230;specially after crossing the dateline.<\/p>\n<p>I purchase the Chinese currency, the Yuan, at Accurate and, after asking the teller for about 400$ dollars worth I saw her count, and count, and count 50 and 100 Yuan bills&#8230;.when she got to 1,500 Yuan I started thinking maybe a Yuan was worth 50 bucks and she thought I had said 400 Yuan&#8230;I had asked what the exchange was but her voice was muffled by the glass and I didn&#8217;t want to ask her to repeat a third time. Turns out a Yuan is worth about 16 cents&#8230;.so those 100 Yuan notes are worth 16$ or so.
